As for the overland stuff, maybe there would be a customization option somewhere which lets you choose which form they default to for comics, portraits etc.Īnyways, just some thoughts. That way they’d be able to use either their weapons or transformed active abilities, but not both at once (for the sake of not making them broken as hell). What if transformations were kind of like lycanthropy where the adventurer only used them in combat (or certain other situations)? Maybe, to balance it out, transforming to and from the new form could take an action or ended the turn or something in combat. This essentially grants two attacks per turn. Also, I can imagine in the case of the elemental ones it might be a bit of a pain to walk around literally on fire, for example, when you’re not in combat. If you can get the Celestial or Mortifical Enhancements transformations on a hunter with this build, the attacks benefit from Piercing Shots, Ember Arrows, and attacking from stealth while not ending turn if the hero has more than one action point remaining. That being said, it kinda sucks (imho) how if you want to see where a transformation goes, unless the character is a mystic, they’ll lose their weapons and any functionality therein. I like how it can transform a character’s entire playstyle and is a pretty big choice. So, the transformations are pretty awesome. Getting wings for your character in Wildermyth is a big deal physical transformations are common, but a huge pair of usable wings is rare and come only come about as parts of certain events. Thanks, devs, for putting so much love and effort into this game, it’s fantastic!
